Karen’s Headboards Launches Dolls House Range

Karen’s Headboards, the Leeds-based furniture company that specialises in quirky bedroom furniture for children, is launching a new headboard range with a difference – a miniature range suitable for dolls houses.

The brand new miniature-sized headboards are a first of their kind in the UK, and are designed to fit a standard dolls’ house. The first miniature headboard will be a replica of the full size Crown Headboard, part of the Karen’s Headboards full size range.

Founder and designer Karen Burke explains: “By introducing these mini versions, children can now sleep in exactly the same bed as their special dolls. My daughters absolutely love them already.”

Karen added: “The hardest thing about the new headboards is the stitching – one stitch is about the same size as my thumb so it is quite fiddly, but we believe they will be extremely popular.”

Established in 2015, the concept of children’s headboards came about when Karen was searching for something a little different for her eldest daughter.

The headboards are designed to make children’s bedrooms a fun and imaginative place to be, and are available in a range of themes, colours of your choice, and a bespoke choice of fittings.

Karen’s designs include a space rocket, a personalised car, and a castle; and the company is hoping to copy these in the miniature versions very soon.
